Moira Quirk (born October 30, 1968) is the English voice actress who recorded the audiobooks for Gideon the Ninth, Harrow the Ninth, Nona the Ninth, and Alecto the Ninth, also known as The Locked Tomb Series.
Biography[]
A Westfield College (University of London) combined English and Drama graduate, Quirk has enjoyed a full and varied career several different artistic pursuits. Though she began her career in Walt Disney World and live theatre, she was quickly picked up by Nickelodeon for GLOBAL GUTS.
After this, she stayed with Nickelodeon for a while earning parts in shows such as "Hey Arnold!," "The Wild Thornberry's," and "My Life as a Teenage Robot." At the same time, she books other roles in theatre, TV, and film, but grew to love the versatility of roles available in voice acting.
"The more interesting and fun roles for her were in voice-over where being always petite and generally winsome didn’t preclude her from playing villains, warriors, badasses and b**ches, nor children and teens, ingénues or mothers, or even boys for that matter."
She is married to comedian Michael Rayner, and can now be seen at a variety of comedy clubs, on BBC and NPR radio plays, in video games such as "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim", in Emmy award-winning television shows, and of course, in audiobooks.
